Perseverance: Examine Possible Solutions to Help Your Endangered Species
Your background research helped you identify the major threats to your species. Now you will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge to determine what steps need to be taken to help your endangered species.
Arrow Identify Possible Solutions

The goal of your recovery objectives is to address the environmental threats to your species and state what must be done to stabilize and ultimately delist the species. Earlier, you used the acronym HIPPO to explore the environmental threats to your species. Another acronym, HELP, can be used to examine possible solutions to help your species. HELP stands for:

Habitat protection and restoration

Environmental education

Laws to protect biodiversity

Planning with the local population

Use the acronym HELP to find what actions are being taken to save your endangered species. Access the HELP worksheet and complete it by identifying possible solutions to help your species. You can brainstorm solutions as well as research the internet and library.
