Knowledge: Working Together to Make a Difference
Working Together to Make a Difference

Roots & Shoots members at an annual Summit using recycled fire hoses to build a cargo net for captive chimpanzees

The Roots & Shoots staff works together to help youth make a positive impact on the world. They continually learn from the students, teachers, and leaders they work with because everyone has different experiences and ideas to offer. Every year, they bring Roots & Shoots groups together to hold Youth and College summits so groups around North America can meet to share ideas and develop project skills. They also created the Youth Leadership Council so the most active Roots & Shoots members can help guide the direction of the program.
